An observation
A position, phase or interval obtained under named algorithms and parameters, with its conventions and limits stated. Example: where the Sun stood on a date, or the degrees in a nakshatra.
Philosophy
Astrology is not medicine, and this site will never pretend otherwise. Here is the promise behind every sentence, and the rules we keep so that it holds.
Marks on each heading:Attributed A named tradition or text says this. It is not proof that anything will happen.Calculated An observation from astronomy or arithmetic, with its conventions stated.Editorial Our own wording. It is not a quotation of any source.
Astral Nexus is an atlas of how people have read the sky. It explains the twelve Rāśis and the lunar mansions, and it describes the lineages, the other civilisations’ skies and the divination arts that have grown up around them. It does not tell you what will happen to you.
The atlas is built for people who find the tradition beautiful, and for people who are only curious. It tries to serve both without pretending that the tradition has been proven.
Every reading is written in deliberately probabilistic language: windows where themes activate, slopes life tends to run down. Astrology proposes. People choose.
The same rule governs the tone. Nothing on the site announces a death, a divorce or a disaster, and nothing promises a windfall or a marriage date. If a tradition holds that a planetary period is difficult, the page says what the tradition holds, and says that it is a tendency.
Where a technique comes from Parashara’s Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Jaimini’s Sutras, the Primbon of Betaljemur Adammakna or the Huainanzi’s Five Phases, the page says so. Where classical editions genuinely disagree, as they do in Ashtakavarga totals and in the identification of some nakshatra stars, we name the disagreement instead of hiding behind folklore.
A position, phase or interval obtained under named algorithms and parameters, with its conventions and limits stated. Example: where the Sun stood on a date, or the degrees in a nakshatra.
A named source or school regards that observation as meaningful. It is not proof that anything will happen. Example: Leo is ruled by the Sun.
An optional, low-risk suggestion, labelled as our own wording and never as a quotation of a source. Example: the “questions to sit with” on each sign.
You will see these three labels on the headings of sign pages, tradition pages and learning chapters. Each one tells you whether you are looking at a measurement we took, a memory a tradition keeps, or a note we added in the margin.
Each sign has a list of qualities the tradition praises and a list it warns about. The lists are always given together. A description that only flatters would be unreliable, and one that only warns would be unkind. Both are less than a person.
Some practices are included because they are part of the heritage, even though a documented method for reading them has not been found. Gavvalu (cowrie shells) and Pachikalu (long casting pieces) are explained as subjects. The site does not generate a reading from them, because an invented table would be worse than no table.
Readings computed from a birth time depend on that time. Times rounded to the hour shift the Lagna and every house-based result. Divination (tarot, palm, weton) is reflective practice, not measurement. Nothing here diagnoses illness, guarantees marriage dates or replaces professional financial, medical or legal advice.
There is no scientific evidence that the positions of the planets at birth shape character or events. The site includes the tradition because it is a large part of human culture, and not because it has been demonstrated.
This preview does not ask for an account, and what you type into a tool on the page, such as the date converter, is worked out in your browser and goes nowhere. The exceptions are a place you search for, a question you put to the chat, and the text of a dream only if you tick the AI box on the dream page. The theme and motion choices are stored on your own device. Personal details are never placed in a page address.
The site is free and nothing on it is gated or metered. A voluntary, non-refundable contribution is possible on the Fund the Project page. It buys nothing and unlocks nothing, and card details are entered on Stripe's own page, never on this site.
Every page works in a light and a dark theme, and follows your system by default. Motion can be paused from the header, and it is paused automatically if your system asks for reduced motion. Nothing plays sound without being asked, nothing hijacks scrolling, and controls are sized to be easy to touch.
