Numerology turns a date and the letters of a name into a handful of numbers. Every step is shown so you can check it by hand.
02How it worksCalculated
The life path number comes from the date: day, month and year are each reduced to one digit by adding their digits, then added together and reduced again. In the Pythagorean method 11, 22 and 33 are kept as master numbers instead of being reduced.
The name numbers turn each letter into a number. Pythagorean: A to I are 1 to 9, then the pattern repeats. Chaldean: the letters carry 1 to 8 by sound, and 9 is held back. Expression uses every letter, soul urge only the vowels, personality only the consonants. Y counts as a vowel only when no other vowel is next to it.
Only the letters A to Z are used. Accents are removed. Names in other scripts need a spelling in Latin letters, and which spelling to use is itself a choice that numerologists argue about.

The short lines for each number are what the numerology tradition says about it. Numerology is a system of symbols. It has no scientific support, and it cannot tell you what will happen. Treat it as a prompt for thinking about yourself.
